The piece is somewhat over polished by the previous owner but the famed French Metal worker Edgar Brandt (1880 - 1960) produced some iconic pieces in the early 20th Century and this item screams his style. I have had the opinion of an expert in the field of French Deco and he agreed that this has all the hallmarks of the famed Parisian. The profusion of Art Nouveau and Art Deco Design gives the piece a timeless feel and all the castings are crisp and beautifully finished. It is very heavy and shipping to the USA (already requested New York City) is Circa 800. The Piece has a drawer and the front door opens to reveal a single shelf storage area, all raised on four cast feet. Stunning piece this and the current over polished look should mellow rapidly.
